File Setup

If you wish to submit your files for print and would like to get the best possible output from us; please setup files the following way:

  • Have a printed or PDF proof supplied to us of what you would like printed and note any particular colors you may need us to match.

  • The file(s) should be at approx 150ppi* (pixels/inch). So if you want a 36"X48" (3ftX4ft) poster you should either build it at 36" X 48" @ 150 ppi, 1/2 size @ 300ppi or 1/4 size @ 600 ppi.

    Example:

  • Ensure the file scales proportionately. e.g. 8.5" X 11" @ 300% = 24" X 31" ( NOT 24" X 36" )

  • Make sure you include all fonts used in building the file, unless they have been outlined (converted to curves) or you are sending a flattened TIF or JPG.

  • If you have Pantone colors included in your file please be sure to specify them. Please spec your Pantone colours in your file for process coated (C). Do not use video coated Pantones (CVC / CV). Learn more about Pantones

  • Avoid Spot Colors With Transparency.

  • If there is a bleed please be sure it is specified.

Thank-You,

PosterTech Digital Department.
